First Useful Print
My first truly useful print has landed!
I’ve printed some other stuff already, specifically around the Smart Frame I’ve been building to display info from Home Assistant, but more on that in another post.
But this is my first print which has actually had a use around the house. In a nutshell, we’ve got a built-in fridge freezer which came with the house. A couple of days ago the door started to creak alarmingly when opening, and a quick investigation revealed that the plastic support washer on the bottom hinge had broken and come loose, meaning the door had dropped a couple of mm.

Plastic support washer you say? Maybe I can make a replacement, now I’m a 3D printer owner?
One quick bit of measuring, and a bit of design in FreeCad and…

More to the point, it actually fitted first time :-)
